presents, presents everywhere

I've been on the road for a month, but I've been busy sewing since I've been home. I made this bag for a friend's birthday (hopefully she won't see this blog before she gets it in the mail). It's just like the beach bag I made for myself to bring to Hawaii, but I think I like this one better :).

    Okay... so how fun was it to share a JoAnn shopping visit?! Of course, this bag is great! A couple of questions: 1)What's the main, heavier fabric? 2)Did you design your own bird, or is this one from the pattern? Love it. LOVE. IT.

    The heavy fabric is actually a denim curtain from ikea, and... I made a bird stencil from cardboard (probably a cereal box). I found a bird shape I liked online, so I just looked at it and adapted my own :). I wanted to find a shape that didn't have feet.
    When are you going to launch your site? I want to see some of your stuff!!!!
