Owl Make Another One Too...

Here is the first of two fabric "art" pieces that I've wanted to make for the nursery. The original plan was to make one with a bird and one with a tree, but this first one ended up containing both elements. Any ideas for the second one? I want to stick with an outdoorsy theme... maybe a squirrel? That could be cute. Umm... apparently I'm having a conversation with myself right now!

It turned out looking a little more store-bought than I was expecting, but I guess that's okay. Pottery Barn would be proud. I'll post more photos when I have them both hung up in the room. Then you can get an idea of how big it is.

  3. Hey! I met you briefy when you both used to come to Grand Canyon University to play for our students... I don't expect you to remember us.. but I have followed you since - the two of you touched my heart and really inspired me as a newly married woman... Anyways... this is just TOO cute.. when I saw this - I totally thought of some digital scrapping kits... one is called FallOut by Melissa Bennett - here is the link to a pic... http://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_71&products_id=3543&zensessionid=341c15b5644be86875e66f47a6fc92c9 ... anyways - I create custome blog looks and use digiatl stuff all the time - when I saw your adorable picture I thought of her stuff - might give you some inspiration. AND... I WISH that you could find somethign that cute in the stores... you can totally tell that it was custom made!

  8. A conversation with one's self is many times the best way to come up with grand ideas!

What about something North Woodsy - like a moose!?

  9. A mushroom would be cute, although not an animal...but very vintage. :)

  10. owl look forward to seeing the next one...

...in other news, i love the Christmas album i ordered from ya last month. I've been listening to Emmanuel a good bit today...and that's an understatement.

After the baby comes and you all hit the road again we gotta discuss gettin y'all at my church. i mentioned it to the music minister a while back and he sounded interested, but i'm about ready to finally make it happen.

  11. So... i take back the "moose" idea... now that I think about it, it would be pretty hard to make a moose look cute.

My newest idea is a cricket! I think it could be cute (and not scary) if done in the right way.
