We just got back from California last night, and after putting Lucy to bed, the first thing I did was sew! I've missed sewing so very much this last week and I am excited to be back home so that I can be crafty again.
In the past, when Lucy wore this orange and white striped shirt (below), people didn't know if she was a girl or boy. I recently had the revelation that I could sew on an applique and do my best to throw in a little feminine touch. This project took about 10 minutes and turned out to be pretty cute.
My model was VERY squirmy, so this is the best photo I could manage (runny nose and all!).
I love the orange shirt with or without the applique but it's sooo cute! And, of course, so is your model! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, now I totally want to applique everything I own.
ReplyDeletesuper lovely!
ReplyDeleteI end up doing the same for Lily, but by hand.
ReplyDeleteAny tips for maneuvering the onsies on the dreaded machine?
I love how crafty you are. Have you ever looked at http://www.etsy.com/ ? They are pretty pricey but it could give you more ideas or you could even SELL stuff on there!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's funny that my word verification is "somake" haha.
Way to go JJ!
ReplyDeleteSO cute!! The shirt AND the model are adorable - even with the runny nose (and I totally feel ya there!) :)
