I Was Wrong

I thought I was being so creative and smart when we bought the coffee table to go in the kitchen nook. I thought, "Why would we need another place to eat when we have the bar right there, and the formal dining table one room over?" It made a lot of sense in theory. Little did I know just how much we'd end up eating around that little coffee table with our plates on our laps. I found out that I just don't care for eating with my plate on my lap.

So my poor, understanding husband agreed to let me get a real kitchen table to put in that space, and we moved the round coffee table into the office.

I really really love it. We found it at World Market, and just picked it up today!

  3. I love the picture on the wall!! The question is.. is it a picture or is it a framed piece of chalkboard. Cause that would be an awesome idea... *tries to decide where she could put one in her house*

  4. Um, do you clean you house before you take a picture for the blog, or is your house really that spotless? Like there's not even a paper pile on the counter, or a kid toy in sight? What am I doing wrong????

  5. Love the table, and the mismatched chairs are great. And of course, the token booster seat!

  6. Katie: The "picture" is just a framed piece of particle board that I had cut to fit, and then spray painted with chalkboard paint.

Tracey: I definitely DO try to clean before I take blog photos. You wouldn't feel so badly if you could see the parts of the rooms that aren't in the photos :). There was one sippy cup that snuck in there.

  14. What happened to the house? what did you do? Have you no scrumptules?

the tile is a broken tail bone waiting to happen if it gets wet AT ALL. Keeping that floor dry is more important then keeping Magai's dry.

  26. SO great! I'm just discovering your blog today and I am totally following!
So, I have a question... The mirror and the chalkboard, which I found that you spray painted, are gorgeous! Can furniture be spray painted in the same way and look as nice?? There are a couple of cool finds that I would love to paint, but, have NO experience, and so I've been shying away...
