Remembering Seattle

Dave's sister, Jes, took these photos when we were all in Seattle a few weeks ago. I thought they were cute, so I decided to post them :)

Yesterday...

...we had a lovely visit with Dave's parents. Lucy snuggled with Grandpa for a nice LONG two hour nap.

She had a fun time with Grandma Pauly too.

Grandma took her for her first ride on a swing!

She looked very concerned, but very cute :)

Family Room

So.. the short version of the story is that our little Heller family is going to split our time between our condo in Phoenix (which we've been renting out for the past few years) and our home in Nashville.

We're trying to spend as little money as possible on the furnishings while still making it feel as home-y as possible. I'm pretty proud of the deals I've been finding.

Here's a sneak peak:

night stand: IKEA, $60
lamp: Home Goods, $35
bud vase: Crate and Barrel, $2.50
plate: Pier One Outlet Store, $2.00
flowers from a very sweet husband... $???

Granny's House

This is my dad's mom.. we call her Granny. This is the day when she met Lucy for the first time. Granny is full-blooded sicilian, and sang some italian songs to Lucy. It was such a special moment.

This is Granny's living room... click on the photo to blow it up and get the full effect. She painted the artwork hanging above the couch. This scene is so typical of what it's like at Granny's house (chips & dip and all), so I wanted to to include it here.

This is Granny's dog "Precious," who they call "Preshy." I think this photo speaks for itself.

Here's a happy mommy with her happy baby.

She melts my heart.

She Can Roll!

At 4 months old, Lucy can officially roll over from her back to her belly. She loves to roll over, but hates being on her tummy which means that as soon as she flips she starts to fuss. Hopefully she'll learn how to turn over to her back really soon!

Summertime

Grandma Pauly and I took a trip to the store to stock up on summer supplies for Lucy. We wanted to buy her a hat.

This is the one we chose because of the wide, shade-providing brim... not to mention that it's reversible too :)

... but this one was VERY tempting!

AND.. how could we resist trying on these sunglasses? This has to be one of my favorite snapshots of her so far. Are we ready for summer or what?
