The Close Of Camp

Today is our last full day of camp, after being here for almost a month. We played a concert last night for the jr high campers, and it was a lot of fun to try out some new songs.

Blog Break

Hey friends, I apologize for my lack of blogging recently. Dave and I are at camp for the next three weeks. We're hanging out with a bunch of junior high students at Young Life's Oakbridge camp in Ramona, CA (near San Diego).

We took this photo last night at the western-themed carnival.
Here are a few other photos that Dave has taken of our time...

Completion (Almost)

We still have a few more details left to do, but since it's almost finished, I thought I'd post a few photos. I borrowed the shower curtain from downstairs for the photo shoot, but I'm pretty sure I want to get a white shower curtain to put up. The birds are a little too busy for my taste (combined with the wainscoting, and two different types of tile). I also still want to get a metal shower rod as well.

Here's the before:

And after:
Isn't it pretty? The floor is my favorite part. I LOVE how it turned out!

Onesies Once Again

A gal at my church just had twin girls, and the congregation was asked to donate items to the new family. I wanted to make onesies that coordinated, but didn't match perfectly. Here's my contribution...

Cheap?

I would love to find a shower curtain rod like this one to replace our old one. The one in the photo is from Restoration Hardware and costs about $130... fairly ridiculous for a metal stick. Does anyone know where I can find a similar one for less than $30? I'd love a more permanent looking one that screws into the wall.

Bathroom Progress

We came home from our trip to Arizona to find our bathroom looking quite swanky. It looks SO different than it used to... it looks so big! Mostly because the toilet, sink, and two cabinets aren't back in there yet. The tub is a little shallower and narrower than our old one, which will make it really convenient for baby baths :). The grout in the shower is darker than I was hoping (we had a little miscommunication) but it still looks really great.

As I type, our friend Brian is grouting the tiles on the floor. Dave's going to paint the bead board white today (I would help, but baby doesn't like paint fumes). I was hoping that you talented, insightful friends could give me some ideas about the paint color for the walls. I want something that will go with the breezy cottage feel of the rest of the house. I'm also up for changing the shower curtain. Any ideas? It might be easier to make suggestions once the bead board is painted... I'll keep you updated!
