Another Day...

... in the life of little miss Lucy Love. Dave snapped this one when we were trying to get her to smile this morning.

I just can't get over how cute this photo is! We still haven't captured a full-out smile, but this one comes close.

Poor Lucy was having a hard time falling asleep for naptime today, so Daddy put her next to the treadmill hoping that the repetitive noise would make her finally drift off. She never fell asleep, but it made her stop crying :)

Hi JJ! What beautiful girl! I love her sweet little half smile :)

I wanted to suggest something to you.. don't know if this will work, but it worked wonderful for my Faithy when she was little. She was and still is such a light sleeper... and we tried everything to get her to sleep. The one thing that was just amazing, was "white noise". I had done some research in my delirious and desperate state of exhaustion.. and what I read was really fascinating.

Maybe this isn't news to you... you probably already know all this... but what I learned was that when a baby is in the womb, it is actually very very loud in there.... as loud as a vacuum, I read repeatedly.... so that is why you hear of babies loving vacuums or washing machines or cars...

So the white noise is a mimick noise to the loudness of the womb... we just purchased a CD with it on it and just repeated it over and over... she is 4 now and doesn't need it anymore..which was my concern... she stopped needing it as she grew up.. probably around 2. But it was wonderful to have that white noise running with 2 toddlers running around and a light sleeper baby...who needed to take naps. It just drowned everything out and she was a happy girl.

Sorry for this letter... I just wanted to share that if you were finding yourself in the same predicament.

Bless you guys!

Amy
