Lucy's Apron

It was so much fun to be able to make this project for Lucy! I finished the whole thing in one day (except for adding the velcro, which took me about 10 minutes the next day). The advent calendar had me so bogged-down that I didn't even want to sew (which made me realize that it was time to set the advent calendar aside for awhile).

It took some playing around with different fabrics to decide on the final color combination. This is the one I ended up going with.

And here's the finished product!

I used a nice, long piece of velcro so that it can adjust to fit her as she grows.

I love how all of these patterns work together. The color palette is so much fun.

Here's a shot of the back for those of you who might want to make your own little apron :).

I can't wait to give it to her for Christmas!

So adorable!. The L reminds of Laverne & Shirley. Laverne always had a fancy L on her outfit. I am sure Lucy will love it.

You inspired me yesterday. Pulled out my scraps and made one for my daughter. Had my son try it on and he wasn't too happy...

What a great idea to make pj's! I think I could do the pants, but my buttonhole maker is broken, so I don't know what I'd do about the shirt. Maybe next Christmas!

your blog is AWESOME! One of my readers told me I had to check you out, and I'm so glad she did. Definitely following you now.

I'm actually planning on a maternity leave for two week at the end of January and am looking for some guest bloggers. Take a look around my blog and let me know if that's something you'd be interested in!

This is such an adorable apron. I just got my serger for Christmas so I am looking forward to doing more sewing in the new year :) Thanks for all the inspiration! By the way, where did you find the thick wide band elastic that you made that cute skirt from a sheet? ~Jen

Wish I had some basic measurements for this. I am going to see my 2 1/2 year old Grandaughter in April and would love to make this apron for here. Haven't seen her since she was a baby and want to spend some quality time with her. Do you have any more specific measurements....a PDF somewhere. Thank you so much for posting!
