New Arrangement

As you will remember... I bought some flowers, and put them in a vase on our mantel in an attempt to make a spring time arrangement. Although I liked a few things about it, I decided that it's just not me.
So then I had to get creative. Thank you for all of your suggestions, because they were the inspiration for my new idea! I spotted these vases in our cabinet and a light bulb went on in my mind.
I went and grabbed a bunch of little green fuzzy ball things out of a vase in my bedroom. I divided them up into the three vases and ta-da!
I also decided to hang the painting instead of leaning it (just for a change-up), and I added two little grasses.
I'm so happy with the way it turned out, and I didn't even have to buy anything.

See...fuzzy round things are called Pom Poms. Was I right or was I right?
And you really need to get on Pinterest.

I think somehow, you might be related to my wife...We've recently purchased a fix-it-uper and are having loads of fun inside and out making bold yet simplistic changes that reflect our personalities. Thanks for sharing and inspiration.

Fireplace is perfect, sofa is wonderful and colors are refreshing, but, does that huge, white cabinet have to sit there? Try it against a different wall and maybe the sofa there so to free up the window. You are doing great in the decor area!

It's quite perfect! Don't you just love it when you can "shop" in your own home?

How clever! I love how that works out sometimes. :) They look perfect there and the grasses add the 'something extra'.

Ooh... super cute! Just curious - What'd you put in the place of the vases in the cabinet?

The day after you posted about your new rug, we went to a furniture shop. Well, while mum and dad spent about an hour deciding on a new floor colour, us kids went and looked at the rugs. Well, I found THE perfect rug. $499. I've decided to buy it when I get my own house. That's in, what? Five years? ;) Oh, and I found an identical one again today, in different colour shades this time -- and guess what. This one was $299! So I've officially got my bedroom and living room covered. Thanks for the inspiration, JJ!:P

I haven't filled the vacancy in the cabinet yet! Now that we're back home (for a whole day and a half), maybe I can figure something out.
