Growing Garden

Overall, things seem to be going well in the garden. I haven't been the most consistent waterer, so I'm actually impressed to see that things are still alive!

My cilantro looks a little sad (I'm thinking because of the lack of water), but the red leaf lettuce (in the background) and the thyme seem to be doing just fine. After the big frost, the nasturtium died, but everything else is still green and growing.
And look! The spinach is sprouting! Did you notice my little plant markers? I made them out of aluminum roof tiles.
And the carrots...
And the yellow onion!
I still have to go out and buy some tomatoes, peppers, squash, basil and zucchini.

Don;t you feel SO accomplished when you see that tiny bit of green sprouting out of the ground? I love to garden! :-)

I always buy tomatoes, and peppers in plant form--I've never had the best luck growing them from seed, but zucchini is SO easy! They take commitment though, tiny zucchini grow to massive zucchini in no time at all!

Wow, I'm jealous. Not sure where you live but here in Idaho it's COLD! I'm can't wait to start gardening!

Hi JJ, long time follower and lover of your music. I actually saw this video on a wedding blog and I thought you might want to see it since he incorporated your music into his proposal. So precious!

Good thing we got rain last night! Did it drown any of your veggies?

I love the little garden. Wish I could grow one. I kill plants though, as hard as I try.

Love it. I didn't have much luck with cilantro last year, either. It started out great, but looked worse and worse as time went on--until it met it's eventual death. It depends on what you like cooking, but basil and rosemary are essentials for us. Keep it up!!

Cute markers!! Remember to cut that cilantro..the more you pinch off the faster it grows..
