Finally... A Project!

I am SO excited! I finally got to do a home-decorating project that involves fabric!

I found this LOVELY little number in Hermosa Beach, CA when we were there for a gig last weekend...

The condo has been in desperate need of some color other than beige, so I decided to do something quite daring.
I used the fabric to cover this large canvas (below) so generously given to us by our friends Scott and Carol. They said we had the freedom to do whatever we wanted with it.... so I did! I like the painting well enough, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted...

Here I am being a busy little bee. Just me and my staple gun.

And this is how it turned out :).

Doesn't it look happy?

Hey,
I love your blog! You have the best decorating and sewing ideas and I love all the pics of Lucy :) Anyway, I am from the Hermosa area and I was just wondering where you picked this fabric up?
